Complicating matters are Beethoven's instructions to the executor, which call for his estate, music and affairs to be left to his "immortal beloved." But who is that, exactly? In this program, pianist Konstantin Soukhovetski delves into the heart, mind and private world of Beethoven. Referencing the film Immortal Beloved , the program unfolds through music and spoken vignettes, both real and imagined, tracing the loves and life of one of Western civilization's most influential composers — and unveiling a new transcription of an iconic movement. This presentation is part of the Narrative Musicales Series presented in collaboration with Grand Piano Series, an independent nonprofit organization.
