A finalist in the 1998 Thelonious Monk Vocal Competition and a favorite of Wynton Marsalis, Scott was the first voice heard in Jazz at Lincoln Center's Rose Theater. With quiet intensity and stylish phrasing, she commands each lyric she sings.
